Wisdoms Feast – Scripture, Church, Cultture at the CTM Keynotes,Workshops & some arty bits.
My bit = I will be be running two workshops on why I am so cool or something like that … titled “Beyond Slacktivism & Distraction: Digital Discipleship & Justice”
We at the CTM are looking forward to four days of stimulating lectures, workshops that enhance the practice of ministry, bible study that is creative and engagements that allow time for reflection. We are also anticipating lots of fun as well. We hope that the theme and presenters will encourage us all to think about how scripture addresses key issues of the identity and call of the church and invite us to consider how we engage in public conversation about some of these themes.
We are delighted to be welcoming Tom Wright, one of the leading and most accessible New Testament Scholars today, along with Liz Boase who teaches Old Testament in Adelaide. Liz is a passionate scholar who is developing a reputation in the field of trauma and scripture. They will be joined by Katharine Massam and Geoff Thompson from the CTM and Jione Havea from UTC in Sydney.
We have a great program planned and we’re particularly excited by the bible study session on Friday which will be facilitated by five very different artistic responses to biblical texts for the morning lecture
