thriving is about

• Introduction, professional training & exploration of the potential of the 40 Developmental Assets.

• Integrating the 40 Developmental Assets framework within your Children, Families, Youth & Congregational ministry.

The 40 Developmental Assets® are research-based, positive qualities that influence young people’s development, helping them become become caring, responsible, and productive adults. Based in youth development, resiliency, and prevention research, the Developmental Assets framework has proven to be effective and has become the most widely used approach to positive youth development in the United States and, increasingly, around the world. The framework has been adapted to be developmentally relevant from early childhood through adolescence.

Leading the asset building training is Jim Conway from the Search Institute. Jim is an author, consultant, and veteran trainer with over 20 years experience providing training and consultation to youth-serving professionals and volunteers in organizations in the United States and abroad. He also served for over 15 years in leadership roles of various programs for children and adolescents.
